Executive Chef Evanthia Bonazounta, Culinary Judge WACS, Director of the Women’s Department of the Chefs Club of Attica “ACROPOLIS”, Professor of Cooking Art IEK Piraeus is organizing an interactive educational game on the occasion of World Chefs Day on October 20th. This event aims to promote culinary art by making healthy eating fun and appealing to children. The “Healthy Foods for Growing Up” celebration will take place on October 16, 2018 at the 28th Primary School of Piraeus. Children will learn healthy eating habits while experimenting and having fun cooking various recipes from the host Chef, always with the supervision of herself and her team.
In the context of the Healthy Child Nutrition event, an on-going presentation will begin from the 6-month-old infant and the introduction of solid foods. This is a different seminar on the first acquaintance of infants with the magical world of food, giving the right bases through the eyes of health professionals. The discussion will co-ordinate a team of midwives, specializing in breastfeeding and educated on infant nutrition.
The topics to be analyzed are:
• Starting time for solid food input
• Daily diet
• Nutritional needs of the infant
• Approaches to solid food
• The baby’s unwillingness to eat or split the breast
• Introduction of solid foods and continued breastfeeding
• BLW (Baby Led Weaning)
At the end of each seminar a rich bibliography will be given. On this theoretical part, we will create wonderful recipes based on scientific facts, creating dishes with love for our children.

The seminar will be held in parallel with the interactive game “Healthy Foods for Growing Up”. Organizer: Executive Chef Evanthia Bonazounta, Culinary Judge WACS, Director of the Women’s Club of the Chefs Club of Attica “ACROPOLIS, Professor of culinary art IEK of Piraeus.
During the seminar there will be a similar demonstration of culinary techniques by Executive Chef Evanthia Bonazounta and her team.
